We believe that even the youngest children can begin to understand the Truth of God's Word through loving care and teaching. To that end, we provide Bible teaching and application time for our youngest attenders and a variety of activities during the school year on Sunday evenings. Our energetic and loving volunteers present the Truth of God's Word in practical and fresh ways each week. Children in these classes are promoted based on their grade in school at the beginning of each new school year. The FBC Children’s Ministry is making every effort to provide a safe environment as we move to our next step of opening on Sunday mornings. The FBC Childcare Team, Building Services Team, Ministers and Staff are taking all precautions to maintain a safe environment for families and our teachers.

Meghann Head
Minister of Preschool and Children
Meghann Head oversees our Preschool and Children Ministries. She is passionate about using creative methods to help kids and their families know and follow Jesus. Meghann is a native El Pasoan, and was a Children’s Ministry Intern under Linda Tarpley here at First Baptist Church in 2002. Meghann went on to receive her Bachelor of Science from Howard Payne University and a Certificate of Completion from the Focus on the Family Institute. She also holds a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Liberty Theological Seminary.
Meghann brings with her experience in children’s ministry from her 12 years at Prestonwood in Dallas. She also spent 7 years as a teacher and Dean of Student Services with the El Paso Christian School. Meghann uses her expertise in curriculum writing and development and event planning to create a wonderful place for her staff and our young families to grow closer to Jesus.
Meghann greatly enjoys being surrounded by her family. She and her husband, Michael, are grateful parents of their daughter, Emersyn. Meghann communicates love and excellence in all that she does.
