CASAS POR CRISTO

 Besides blessing a family with a physical house, more importantly, we can speak to their spiritual need by sharing the love and life of Jesus. During the build we have breaks for lunch and devotional time, that we can embrace to fellowship with the family whose house we are building and with their families that normally live on the same property.

Likewise, the team will have opened doors to minister to the children living in the surrounding community of the church and kids from where the house is being built. This is conducted at the church, and you can expect a group of 40+ children. We teach them the gospel, sing songs, do art craft, games, and we provide refreshment. This trip is ideal for families, youth groups, children, and just about any mix of people desiring to serve. As you can see, this mission trip is an opportunity for people of all ages, skill levels, and backgrounds to come together to build a home for a family in need, minister to families and children. No prior building experience is necessary to work on a team, just a desire to serve the Lord and His people.

 This is an amazing opportunity to make a lasting difference in a family's life.  So, you will be part of a team to provide a family with a physical house. These Hope Restored homes, as they are called, are provided to a family in need. Casas por Cristo utilize their staff missionaries, pastors, and other volunteers from our church and First Baptist Church Decatur to partner together for the construction of the house.

Each year FBCEP partnered with First Baptist Church Decatur (and hopefully this year with First Baptist Church Midland) to build a house over in our sister city of Juarez. It’s a three-day mission, Wednesday thru Friday. Missionaries cross over to Juarez to build a house for a family that is already being evangelized and/or discipled by our partner church Iglesia Bautista La Paz pastored by Rev. Juan del Rio. You can expect teamwork in building a house, ministering to the family, sharing the love of Christ by serving, VBS at the church with kids (40+). All skill levels welcome from individuals with great to almost no construction skills can be utilized. This trip is ideal for: families, youth groups, children, and just about any mix of people desiring to serve.
